Home Page

Equality and Diversity Services are responsible for developing and promulgating policy and good practice on equality and diversity matters in relation to both the staff and student bodies in the University.

As well as providing advice on the interpretation and implementation of policies and codes of practice, Equality and Diversity Services are also the main contact point for the Equality Commission, Opportunity Now and the Equality Challenge Unit.

Equality and Diversity Services are responsible for the implementation of the University’s Equality Scheme. The Scheme addresses equality issues in relation to gender, marital status, religious belief, political belief, race, age, disability, sexual orientation, and responsibility for dependants. This reflects the holistic approach which the University seeks to take in regard to equality and diversity.

There are currently five staff in Equality and Diversity Services:

Sara Hunter Head of Equality and Diversity Services  Room 02H15B, Jordanstown campus
Maria McGilloway Equality and Diversity Officer Room J504, Coleraine campus
Angela Getty Equality and Diversity Officer  Room 02H16B, Jordanstown campus
